Located near Islamabad's Zero Point Interchange, Shakarparian (also known as Shakarparian Hills) is a historic hill and national park offering visitors a rich blend of heritage and greenery. Before the 1947 Indo-Pak partition, members of the Gakhar tribe settled in this area, but the clan was later relocated between 1960 and 1961 to create a national park for Pakistan's newly designated federal capital.
